Time to unleash a revolution?
I think World War 3 will not be a war fought between countries but between the governments of the world & the citizens of those countries. I see the people rising up against the power-hungry rulers of today & taking back the freedoms that they once were granted (or promised). I see this war being brutal on both sides, with chemical & biological means being used, mostly on the part of the government leaders against the masses of citizens, in a sick & twisted attempt to control them. I think every world leader (& all those below them on the totem pole) should be made to sit & watch the movie Wizards as a reminder of what happens when you seek utter & complete control over a populace. Perhaps then the nasty power-grabs that are happening in governments around the world would not be happening...
Unfortunately people are doomed to repeat history because we so often do not remember the past, even recent past, and the failures of previous rulers to clamp down on the people they presume to rule over. People in leadership roles often forget why they are there, as servants to the people, not tyrants over them. But power does corrupt the corruptible & too many people are prey to this character flaw.
The problem with this theory of governmental control is that government exists to help propagate the species so we human-animals can continue to exist. We're here to expand the species, not to destroy it. We are here to evolve as a species, not clamp down & control each other. Until all the world's leaders remember this & live up to such high & lofty ideals, we will continue to have these ridiculous power struggles between the governments of the world & the people they profess to be helping.
I remember a little event that happened just about 200 years ago (closer to 230 years ago, but who's counting?). The ruler of the land, a guy named George, was a little power-mad & wanted all the money to himself. He figured, he's in charge so he can charge his citizens to give him all their money & they had better hand it over. Of course, he used such terms as tax & levee but it all boiled down to the same thing: he wanted it all & would do what he thought he should to get it.
We all know what happened next, don't we kids? Some of his people had the nerve to fight back against this King George & they declared their independence from him & his land. They said they were no longer his citizens & thus didn't have to pay him a dime! He wasn't going to take such lip from anyone, so he sent his military to fight these rebellious fools & they fought back just as hard (harder, they were fighting for their freedom). Finally, the victors arose from the ashes of war & told ole George to stay out of their back yard.
Then these winners of the day wrote out a document they hoped would keep other men from trying to ascend on high above all like George did. And for 200 years, it worked pretty good. People of all stations respected this document as a near holy relic. Leaders of this new land swore to uphold this document to insure that freedom for the people would always exist.
And then, a few scant years ago, another George (King George the III's reincarnation bent on revenge perhaps?) came to power & spent his reign trying his hardest to pull down this document & strip it of all it's former power & glory. The result of this new George's machinations is that almost all the freedoms that the people of this new land had reaped for two centuries where taken away in such a way to make it almost impossible to put them back again without destroying the document itself.
This is the land many people call America & the document, as you might have guessed, is the United States Constitution. No longer, "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave," we have been reduced to "Land of the Controlled, Home of the Meek."
Yet if enough people stood up against the control our government (and governments the world over are taking) as a People, as a Nation, what leader anywhere could stand against us?
Such a revolution would have to be en-masse to be effective though. It would have to be so total that even the police & military men & women would join the side of the citizen (their families are regular citizens, after all) & stand against the power-hungry so called "leaders" who dare to control the people so totally.
Then, and only then, would a mostly peaceful conclusion happen in the world. Then I see a world where this new World War would have been won before it even started. Then I see humanity taking a truly evolved approach towards things instead of blindly following the leader in hopes that they know where they are leading us.
Which outcome will happen? Will humanity (including the leaders of the world) take an evolved approach towards freedom & equality for all? Or will it be brother against brother until death overtakes us all? It is up to all of us to see that the right choices are made. It is up to all of us to stand up for our rights as human beings. It is up to all of us to demand that the leaders & governments of the world act for the people's best interests instead of for greed. It is up to ever last man, woman & child to say, "I am free! I will not be controlled! I choose my own destiny!"
Only then will the world truly be free. Only then will there be an end to the power-madness we see in people today who try to rule us instead of lead us by being outstanding examples of humanity for all to emulate.
Today most people that go into politics & other leadership "professions" are not people that many of us would want our children or ourselves to emulate or look up to as true leaders or heroes. I find that a true pity.
Life is not about control. It is about freedom, expansion & growth...
