I am Jenny Johnson. I am also Guinevere Hempstead. And finally I am Astartiel. One is my real name, one my poetry name, and one my online name. There are a million or more Jenny Johnsons in this world and as much as I love my name, it does get a bit old. Guinevere Hempstead, though is a pretty rare name. I choose the name because I almost was named Guinevere. Hempstead is a family name I've always loved. The name Astartiel is part of the evolution of my online name. I wrote a poem once with the made up word "Astare" in it (see above). Then I learned of the goddess Astarte. When I started going online on a regular basis around 1995, I choose Astarte as my username. But when I would go to New Age websites, I'd find that the name was not uncommon. So, I changed it to Astartae (which I found out later is literally plural for Astarte). Then that name also began to get used alot by others. So, I thought about it and played around with my username until I came up with Astartiel a few years ago, and I've been using that name ever since.

Who am I? I am a poet, writer, singer, songwriter, photographer, fantasizer, wannabe filmmaker, computer geek, new ager, self helper, sister, daughter, mother, and friend - among other things. I am an artistic and creative individual. I enjoy poetry, photography and the performing arts. Tapping (EFT), Reiki, Reality Creation, Abraham, Seth, Numerology, Reincarnation, Crystals, Love, Poetry, Art, Nature, Family, these are a few things that define me. I'm also lazy, messy and a bit of a mess myself quite often.

I tend to be a quiet person, shying away from crowds and excessive noise, seeking humor, pleasure and enjoyment in more one-on-one or solitary pursuits. I like most forms of music, many types of movies but mostly sci-fi, fantasy, action and humor, and mostly sci-fi, fantasy and new age books. I love mother nature but also technology, especially the computer. I am good at computers, you could call me a "natural" at it. I am decent at photography and am getting better daily. I can do both a tarot reading and a numerology reading alright. I can write a poem, when the feeling hits me.

I desire to find a finer way of living than the redundancy of most normal lives. I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with my life. I am very interested in finding film work as a production assistant or film director, which ever one is available. If you find you want to give a girl like me a chance to change the odds of women making movies these days and help me try to do what I just might love, then please let me know by writing down a few witty words to tempt me. I'd also love to get paid for singing, songwriting, poetry writing, photography, research, paranormal research, numerology reports, tarot readings, editing or writing. If I can't make money off my talents and interests, then why have them at all?

PS - I recently worked as an extra in National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. ;-) Yay me! Look for the back of my head at the end of the movie when they are at Mt Rushmore!
